Hi, I'm Kalina !
just last year I finished my degree in Business and IT. I loved working in the field, but before starting my career, I decided to take some time off to look for answers: ‘How can we achieve a system change?’ and ‘How do you live life the happiest you can be?’. Instead of complaining about the theoretical, incredible complex mess, that marries business and sociology (which I’m reading about and happy to nerd about, when asked), I explore and write about real life examples of extraordinary communities and people..
Communities?

Even though it seems tempting to leave the whole society, that is really on fire in 2020, being around others is something that gives me a lot of joy. But, organized living is quite complicated (just think about who does the dishes) and Community, Commune and all those fancy terms, can stir up pictures of religous clans. But, if it was easy everbody would do it. I’ve experienced how much strength is gained from being around like minded people and I want to make it easier by portraying examples, that work here.
People?
Oh yeah, as the noisy human being I am, I love, love, love hearing the life path of anyone who succesfully escaped the 9 to 5. And while interviewing and getting to know, the people that I meet while travelling, I get inspired for the many options that are out there. Get to know some Smiling People as well!
Happiness?
SURFING. This one I could package more nicely, but any one who has felt the “stoke” of surfing a wave, knows that there is no need to explain, why surfing is happiness. As I’m travelling around to visit communities, I try to stay close to the shore to surf as much as possible. The ocean, man, I miss it a lot. Anyways, I like to write travel guides, especially for surfers, because we deserve it.
